Inside

Posted on June 22, 2013 by Bruce Hayes
It stops at nothing, this hunger inside, until it is fed.

It makes my stomach knot, this hurt inside, until I fall over in pain.
It makes my breathing labored and harsh, this anxiety inside, until I shriek in agony.
It makes the tears come over and over, this sadness inside, until I mourn all day.
It makes my body shake and skin crawl, this loneliness inside, until I cry all night.
It stops at God, this knowing inside, and then peace begins.
